Your story

Who reads what I send?

A small editorial team reviews every submission. Nobody outside that team sees it unless you give permission to publish, and even then only the redacted version, approved by Keno.

Will my company’s name be published?

No. Company names, people’s names, product names, locations and any detail specific enough to identify you are redacted before anything is posted. If you opt in, you’ll get the edited version by email before it goes live.

Can I change my mind after I submit?

Yes. Reply to your confirmation email at any time, including after a story is published, and it comes down.

Should I include confidential deal details?

No. If you’re under an NDA or know about a deal that hasn’t been announced, leave those details out. Describe your situation, not the deal terms.

Will someone read it and reply?

Yes, every submission is read. We can’t answer each one personally, so the situations that help the most people become Reader Q&A notes. Keno approves every note before it’s published.

What’s new in the 2nd edition?

The 2nd edition arrives in 2027 with the three tools built in, updated guidance for roles being reshaped by AI and automation, and an audiobook read by the author.

Is the Survival Fitness Score the same one in the book?

Yes. It uses the same ten factors and point values as Appendix A. The online version adds a zero-point answer to three questions so an honest "none" has somewhere to go, which makes the maximum 98.

Do you store my Fitness Score answers?

Your answers stay in your browser. We only receive your email, your score and your situation if you choose to have your plan sent to you.

What is a Deal File?

A short read on a recent acquisition from the seat of the people inside it: who got bought, what overlaps, and what to do this week.

Is any of this legal or financial advice?

No. It’s one practitioner’s experience, written for employees and managers. For your contract, severance or equity, talk to an employment lawyer or financial advisor.
